Introduction

The identity of this species needs to be assessed through a species level revision of the genus. It is known from the type locality of Sydney, New South Wales, and from Rockhampton in Queensland but it may be the senior synonym of other species described from other parts of Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Brunneus, cornubus compressis, obtusis, spina postica subtus bisinuata, scutello flavo.
Brun, ponctué; cornes divariquées, comprimées, obtuses, larges; pointe postérieure épaisse à la base, échancrée à l'écusson, sinuée plus loin, recourbée intérieurement à l'extrémité, plus longue que l'abdomen; écusson jaune, deux taches noires luisantes au-dessus des yeux; tête noirâtre; fémurs noirs, tibias jaunâtres; élytres transparentes, mais légèrement enfumées (Fairmaire 1846).
