Ranges from Mount Keira near Wollongong, south and west to just NE of Nowra (distance of 55 km).

Australian Endemic.

Burrower, coastal streams, freshwater.

Extra Ecological Information

Lotic and lentic freshwater, swamps, sheltered rocky areas, small creeks bordered by wet sclerophyll forest or rainforest, feeds on decomposing plant material, altitudes from 200–600 m.
