Off Geraldton (28°35'S, 113°29'E) WA to Arafura Sea NE of Darwin (9°06'S, 133°18'E) NT, and outer Great Barrier Reef, QLD between Ribbon Reefs (14°40'S) and Myrmidon Reef (18°16'S), possibly further south; Lord Howe Island; tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific.
