Introduction

This is a large species (> 7 mm in male) delicately coloured with white, pale green and light brown. It is reasonably well represented in Australian collections.

Ecological Descriptors

Adult: phloem feeder.

Nymph: fungivore.

 

Diagnosis

Narrow head produced forwards, delicate coloration, presence of six lateral spines on hind tibia and the distinctive features of the male and female genitalia make this easily identifiable in the Australian fauna. Emeljanov (2005) provides illustrations of the male genitalia of the holotype.
