Introduction

It was recognised for a long time that the tribe Rhotalini was represented in Australia by a large greenish species from the eastern coastal regions of the continent. Its identity was eventually established by the creation of the monotypic Errotasa by Emeljanov (2005). It is the only representative of the tribe Rhotalini in Australia.

Diagnosis

As the only representative of the Rhotalini in Australia, this genus can be identified using the distinctive features of the Rhotalini, including the presence of a prominent scoop-shaped medioventral process in the female genitalia and paired medioventral processes of the male pygofer.
