Introduction

A delicate pale green species from rainforest areas of NE New South Wales and SE Queensland. It has the general appearance of a tropiduchid but can be differentiated by the spination of the apex of the second hind tarsomere and the claval vein entering the apex of the clavus.

Ecological Descriptors

Adult: sap-feeder.

Nymph: fungivore.

 

Diagnosis

Once identified as belonging to Epiona, the male genitalia need to be examined to determine that specimens match illustrations provided by Emeljanov (2005).
