Diagnosis

The species has two round black spots on the dorsum of the head, two elongate black markings on either side of the midline of the scutellum, brown colouring over much of the pronotum and along the costal and claval margins of the forewing. However, there are other species which have similar markings and the only reliable method of identifying the species is by examination of the quite distinctive aedeagus which is a relatively simple tube bearing three apical appendages, all narrow triangular with one extending anteriorly and the other two laterally. The male genitalia were figured by Dworakowska (1980).
