"A few specimens of this species have also been found by one of the authors (IB) in the Samoan Islands in 2005 (unpublished data). Gosliner et al. (2008) spotted this species in different places in the Indo-Pacific (Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Guam and the Hawai’ian Islands) and figured it under the designation Elysia sp. 16."
