Introduction

This pallid species is known from a small series of specimens collected by light trap in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Light testaceous, eyes dark, wings pale. Anterior margin of vertex sinuate. Upper pygophore hook broadened at tip, slightly curved. Subgenital plate with two macrosetae and parallel-sided plica which is terminated by a small process. Upper part of paramere arcuate, with regular small ledges. Aedeagus short with distinct lateral teeth in its upper part. Length ♂ 2.8 mm, ♀ 2.9 mm (Dworakowska 1972).
