Introduction

This pallid species with brown markings is known only from the male holotype from a locality in northern Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: parenchyma feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Body form and coloration similar to those of D. olszewskii Dworakowska but there is only a small infuscation at apex of clavus and adjacent part of corium and two large brown patches at apices of apical veins bordering third apical cell. Apical part of CuA' slightly infuscated. Male genital apparatus can be compared with that of D. olszewskii differing from the latter by tapering pygofer appendage, diminutive lateral knob at subgenital plate and aedeagus structure. Length ♂ 2.9 mm (Dworakowska 1993).
