Off Rowley Shoals (17°52'S, 118°16'E) to south of Scott Reef (14°54'S, 121°34'E), WA, and off Lizard Island, QLD (14°40'S) to coastal NSW, possibly south to Muiron Islands on the west coast; tropical, circumglobal.
