Introduction

Note that the species is typically referred to as Denariusa bandata, but the name as Denariusa australis is the oldest name (see Gon & Herzig-Straschil 1996).

Three disjunct populations, Daly River (130º30´E) to Groote Eylandt (136º40´E), NT, Jardine River (11º08´S) and Murray Swamps, near Cardwell (18º02´S), QLD; tropical, New Guinea.
