Introduction
Currently, two genera and 13 species of draconettids are recognised (Nakabo 1982; Fricke 1992, 2010; Nelson 2006), with one genus and two species from Australia. Draconettids are small sized, generally smaller than 10 cm. The group occurs worldwide in tropical and temperate regions on the continental shelf, with some species known from offshore seamounts. Fricke (2001) presented a key for western Pacific species.
