Introduction
The assignment of some of the Australian species to Cryptocheilus Panzer, 1806 follows the generic synonymy of Calicurgus Brullé, 1833 by Pate (1946), even though Pate (1946) did not explicitly refer to the Australian species. Additional work is required to determine if they belong to Cryptocheilus.
