Tettigonia lactea Signoret, 1853 by original designation.
Introduction
This monotypic genus is distributed from eastern Indonesia to the eastern islands of New Guinea. The species was recorded from the wet tropics of Queensland by Kirkaldy (1906) under two species names, both of which were synonymised by Young (1986) who, despite the synonymies, considered that a more intensive, non-morphological, study may determine that more than one species is included.
