Introduction

The subtribe Chrysobothrina in Australia is represented by the 15 species of the cosmopolitan genus Chrysobothris Eschscholtz. This is one of the larger buprestid genera with species found in all biogeographical regions. The last revision of Australian Chrysobothris was by Carter (1925) with two species described since then by Hawkeswood (1986, 1997).
