• Cheilodipterops isostigma Schultz, L.P. 1940. Two new genera and three new species of cheilodipterid fishes, with notes on the other genera of the family. Proceedings of the United States National Museum 88(3085): 403-423 [413, fig. 20b] [derivation is apparently from the Greek isos = similar and stigma = spot, and usage is clearly as a noun in apposition, with original genus masculine].

  Type data:

   Holotype USNM 30657, New Guinea.
