Diagnosis

Males of C. rochesterae resemble those of C.heywoodi, with the sternal concavity occupying about 1/2 of the sternal length and 2/3 of the sternal width, and the epigastric scutum slightly protruding. Males of C. rochesterae have larger eyes, short medially directed fangs not reaching the labium, and a long tripartite embolus. Females can be easily distinguished by the epigynal semicircular rim and a dark triangular region, with the copulatory duct short, not reaching the tracheal groove.
