Paratype(s) CSIRO A 1901, mouth of Huon River, D'Entrecasteaux Channel, TAS [43°20'S, 147°08'E]; TMH D 123 2 specimens, off Dennes Point, D'Entrecasteaux Channel, TAS [43°03'S, 147°21'E].

Recorded from southeastern Tasmania (43°S, 147°E), from the Tasman Peninsula and the northern and central waters of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel; temperate.
