Ecological Descriptors

Adult: aquatic, lentic freshwater.

Diagnosis

This species is most nearly allied to B. triarticulata (Thomson, 1883) and B. oblonga Sars, 1908. It differs specifically from both these species, more especially in the length of the antennules and the formation of the fifth pair of legs in the male.
