Type data:
Holotype ANIC ♂ (coll: 7.vii.1986, J.C. Cardale, at MV light), 8 km E by N of Mt Tozer, Queensland [12°44'S 143°17'E].
Introduction
This species is based on three male specimens from Cape York Peninsula in far North Queensland. The name was "dedicated to my friend Geert Goemans who works on Neotropical lanternflies" (Constant 2011).

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
This species can be differentiated from other Australian species of the genus by the pale blue base of the hind wings. The frons is uniform green in colour.
