Larvae have been recorded as feeding in the stems of Paspalum dilatatum, Phraginites australis, native reeds, Saccharum sp., Zea mays, Oryza sp., Triticum spp. (Poaceae), Zingiber officinalis (Zingiberaceae) and Gladiolus sp. (Iridaceae).
