Introduction

This species has narrow, pinkish-white tegmina with at least one longitudinal dark stripe. Distant's (1907) description of U. lineata simply notes "Queensland" but the collector was F.P. Dodd, the Butterfly Man of Kuranda (Monteith 1991), who collected primarily in the wet tropics of North Queensland, the source of Kirkaldy's (1906) material of the senior synonym.

Adult: phloem feeder.

Diagnosis

More or less pale fulvotestaceous, a black spot on anterior ambulacra. Tegmina subhyaline, pale pinkish white, costal cell whitish, veins coralline, 2 or 3 more or less entire, narrow dark brown longitudinal stripes on tegmina. Genital segment dark. Length 3 mm to apex of abdomen, 6.25 to apex of tegmina (Kirkaldy 1906).
