Introduction

The Cenchreini was defined by Muir (1913) as a natural group representing the most generalised forms within the Derbidae. The tribe is represented in Australia by two species in two genera in Queensland.

 

Diagnosis

Tegmina not long and narrow, wings more than half length of tegmina; cubital veins ending in hind margin of' tegmen; third claval cell closed, not extending to last apical median cell; cubitus simple or furcate, not running into first median sector (Muir 1913).

Procubital cell open; second segment of hind tarsi with four teeth; coryphe with sensory pits; postcubitus on clavus of tegmen with sensory pits (Emeljanov 1996).
