Introduction

This species is based on a male and a female specimen from Kuranda in the wet tropics of North Queensland. Webb (1983) gave the type locality as Cairns, K. but a red "K" on a printed "Cairns" label is how Kirkaldy indicated Kuranda as explained by Medler (1987).

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be differentiated from B. bulbulla by the presence of two pairs, rather than a single pair, of posterior processes on the aedeagus (Webb 1983)
