Diagnosis

This genus can be distinguished by the pedunculate or basally narrowed 3rd apical cell of the forewing, poorly developed ventral arms of segment X, large lateral apophyses of the aedeagus (male) and broad second valvulae (female). It differs from Balocha Distant, with a similar third apical cell of the forewing, in having the second subapical cell of the forewing closed (Webb 1983).
