Type data:
Holotype SAMA ♀ (coll.: G. Wright), Karoonda, South Australia.
Introduction
This species is only known from the type locality, Karoonda in the mallee country of SE South Australia. A note with the original description states that it is larger and broader than other species described in the genus at the time.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Head anteriorly pale yellowish brown but for the frons which is a somewhat darker brown; vertex and crown marked with an irregular pattern of yellow and black; eyes dark brown; frons swollen; ocelli facing towards the eyes; hind margin of frons distinct; eyes very prominent. Pronotum anteriorly brownish yellow with irregular black markings, posteriorly grey with raised transverse black markings. Scutellum rugose, marked with a pattern of light and dark brown. Tegmen hyaline, with numerous cross veins and round brown spots lying alongside the main veins; appendix narrow. Thorax and abdomen ventral surface brown. Legs marked with a pattern of light and dark brown. Length 7 mm, head width 3.5 mm (Evans 1936).
