Introduction

The Atemninae is the largest of the two atemnid subfamilies (Harvey 1991), and is the only one recorded from Australia.

 

Diagnosis

The Atemninae can be distinguished easily from the Miratemninae by the basal position of the tactile seta on legs III and IV, and by the presence of a smooth or only slightly granulate carapace.
