- Oplopomus spinosus Goren, M. 1981. Three new species and three new records of gobies from New Caledonia. Cybium 3e 5(3): 93-101 figs 1-5 [96, fig. 2] [from the Latin adjective spinosus = thorny; genus is feminine and spinosa is correct spellling].
