Issus elongatulus Kirkaldy, 1906 by monotypy.
Introduction
A monotypic genus from the wet tropics of North Queensland. The species included is a neat, compact form with narrow brown tegmina.

Diagnosis
Differs from the closely related Chlamydopteryx by rather elongate fore wings with sinuate radial vein and the venation of the hind wings: R bifurcate, M, CuP, 1A, 2A simple, CuA with five branches, postcubitus tfour branched; single crossveins between second branch of R and M, between M and first branch of CuA, between CuP and postcubitus, and between postcubitus and 1A; fifth branch of CuA and CuP are fused and thickened (Gnezdilov & Fletcher 2010).
