Subtribe Agrilina Laporte, 1835

Introduction

The Agrilina are a cosmopolitan group, numerically dominated by the huge genus Agrilus Curtis. Other agriline genera are found in both the New and Old World Regions, but in Australia only Agrilus is present. The Australian species were reviewed by Obenberger (1959) and newly revised by G. Curletti (2001).

One Indonesian species, Agrilus nigritus Kerremans, and apparently assumed by Carter (1924) to be part of the Australian fauna, was not presented in the Curletti's revision and is not included herein.
