Introduction

The species name is frequently changed to calcea, but the name was originally spelled calceus and is a noun in apposition.

Extra Distribution Information

Off Coffs Harbour, NSW (30º19´S) to off Green Head, WA (30º04´S, 114º58´E); tropical, temperate, discontinuous (east Atlantic, southern Africa, New Zealand and Chile).
