Diagnosis

Strongly raised selvage close to outer margin in right valve and especially prominent ventrally; small list in left valve recessed well below margin. Marginal pore canals short and simple, both anteriorly and posteriorly. Selvage with remnant marginal pore canals and associated setae. Gm claw well developed on female antenna but a serrate seta on male antenna; y3 aesthetasc less than half as long as GM claw in both sexes.
