[311] (Note #652: Poole (1989) proposed that Capotena elaina Swinhoe be treated as a junior subjective synonym of Thyrsoscelis iridias Meyrick, 1889. There are three syntypes of Capotena elaina Swinhoe in the BMNH. One male and one female are the species described by Meyrick as Thyrsoscelis iridias Meyrick, while the third specimen, a female, may belong to another species. The application of the specific name C. elaina Swinhoe will eventually depend on the appropriate lectotype designation)
