Genus Pristigenys Agassiz, 1835

 

Introduction

Currently only one species is recognised from Australia — . Recently that species has been found to be two distinct (see excluded species below), but similar species. Also Pristigenys refulgens may occur in Australia and is currently known from Indonesia. Also the tentative identifications of specimens as P. meyeri in the NTM from off Queensland need confirmation.
