The holotype designated by von Röder was only labelled as from N. Holl. Other distribution data has come from Winterton & Irwin (2001).

Diagnosis

Scutum with white scales; wing and venation bright orange, apex slightly greyed; halter orange; body and rest of appendages black; 2–5 supra-alar setae; spermathecal sac very small; outer reticulated lobes present.
