Diagnosis

Males of C. bertmaini resemble those of C. digweedi, with the sternal concavity occupying about half the sternal length and the epigastric scutum strongly protruding. Males of C. bertmaini can be easily separated, however, by their pear-shaped cymbium-bulb complex, and the thin, medially bent embolus with small club-shaped basal process. Females can be distinguished from all other Cavisternum species by their narrow copulatory duct, ending level with the tracheal groove.
