Introduction

This is one of two Australian genera in which the lateral pronotal processes are completely missing. The lateral prominences at the base of the forewing are the humeral angles. The other genus is Dingkana Goding which can be differentiated from species of Terentius by having the bases of M and Cu fused. The pronotum is broad and convex and gives the species a globose, hunch-backed appearance. Day (1999) recognised three undescribed species in the Australian fauna in addition to the two named species. This indicates that a species level revision of the genus is needed to determine the distributions of all five species.
