Introduction
This name appeared in a list of species being transferred by Evans (1972) from Vulturnus to Neovulturnus but it had not previously been described. Two specimens in the Evans collection are associated with this name and an examination of male genitalia of all species would provide the basis for determining what species those specimens actually are. Both specimens are from SE Queensland where many of the species of the genus are known to occur.
