Introduction

This species is only known from two males collected at Dales Gorge in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Neither specimen is in an Australian collection.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow tinged with green. Male basal abdominal apodemes with dorsal pair absent, ventral pair short. Male genitalia with segment X in lateral aspect with two or three long peg-like spines posteriorly; posterior margin membranous ventrally. Subgenital plates narrowly spatulate, a row of moderately long setae along dorsal and apical margins. Styles tapered to acute apex. Aedeagus with shaft short and broad, laterally compressed dorsally, processes strongly divergent. Length ♂ 3.6 mm (Webb 1983).
