Introduction

One of the larger genera of Australian Idiocerinae, Pascoepus is distributed in most parts of the continent except Tasmania. Some species are marked with scarlet or brown.

Diagnosis

This genus can be distinguished by the shagreen vertex, the usually shagreen pronotum (only in P. neboissi is the pronotum distinctly transversely striate) and the very long basal stem of the aedeagus (Webb 1983).
