Introduction

This species is based on a single male specimen from SE Queensland. It is unknown to the compiler as the specimen is held in the US National Museum.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow marked with brown, including a small spot on vertex near to each eye, an irregular longitudinal band each side of midline on vertex, pronotum and scutellum, an irregular transverse band above and below ocelli, and basal triangles and a pair of central spots on scutellum; forewing tinged with brown, veins darker brown with whitish patches. Male genitalia with subgenital plates narrowly spatulate in lateral aspect. Styles with apical process tapered to acute apex. Aedeagus with socle region fairly long; shaft short, without processes. Female unknown. Length ♂ 6.6 mm (Webb 1983).
