Introduction

This monotypic genus was described from a male and a female from two separate localities in the north of the Northern Territory. The male was the first of this sex known for the Breddiniolini and was instrumental in correctly placing the tribe in the family Derbidae.

Diagnosis

This genus is immediately recognised by the shape of the lateral pronotum where the carinae form a distinct circular pit behind the eye. Emeljanov & Fletcher (2004) provide a detailed description.
