Species Neovulturnus sordidus (Evans, 1937)

Compiler and date details

28 July 2011 - Murray J. Fletcher

Introduction

This species is unknown to the compiler. It is only known from the type locality in SE Queensland. A specimen in the JW Evans collection associated with this species name bears a determination label by Evans of "nr Vulturnus punctulatus" which raises the possibility that the names are synonyms. Both holotypes are males so an examination of the two type specimens would determine whether they are both valid species.
