Introduction

This species, with its distinctive red clavus, is known from coastal areas of New South Wales from Grafton in the NE corner to the Sydney region. Webb (1983) also lists specimens from Blunder in Queensland which probably refers to Blunder Creek of which there are at least two. The collector of these specimens, Henry Hacker, primarily collected in the southeastern Queensland area and it is presumed that these specimens came from this region.
