Introduction

This species, which is normally plain green in colour but often with brown or red markings, is distributed along a narrow band of SE Australian from southeastern Queensland to central Victoria.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder (associated flora: Callistemon sp. [MYRTACEAE]).

 

Diagnosis

This species, along with [Zaletta[ kisseis, can be distinguished by its apically expanded subgenital plates and by the long expanded apex of the female third valvulae. It differs from kisseis in lacking a pair of brown spots on the vertex and in having three rather than four aedeagal processes (Webb 1983).
