Introduction

This smallish species is found in the tropical north of Western Australia and the Northern Territory with the type locality being near Quamby in the Mount Isa region of inland Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be distinguished by features of the face (clypeus usually slightly tumid adjacent to the clypellus and angularly rounded adjacent to each antennal ledge and clypellus with a transverse ridge near apex) and by the elongate aedeagus (Webb 1983).
