Introduction

This largish, plain coloured species is known from several localities along the eastern coastline of Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Close to [Zaletta] kisseis [(Kirkaldy)], but pale creamy-grey in general colour, though it may be more or less rosy or reddish. There are no head spots. Male: valve triangularly notched in the middle; pygophor broader than in the last [Rosopaella napais (Kirkaldy)], ovipositor not so long as in the last. Length 5 1/8 mm. (Kirkaldy 1907).

This species can be distinguished by its pale colour, slightly tumid clypeus adjacent to the clypellus and the shape of the male genitalia (Webb 1983).
