Introduction

The identity of this species is currently uncertain although it is based on a male syntype, which may be a holotype by monotypy. A revision of the genus in Australia is needed to determine species limits and adequately define the species.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Blackish-brown; legs pale brownish-testaceous, the hind tibiae with a blackish apical annulus and the apical half of the first and the whole of the second segment of the hind tarsi blackish. Tegmina fuscohyaline, veins blackish, 2 or 3 thin, curved transverse, fuscous lines on the apical fourth of the tegmina. Ocelli orange-brown. Vertex roundly angular in front, one-half longer in the middle than at the eyes. Length (male) 3ΒΌ mill. (Kirkaldy 1907).
