Introduction
This small species is only known from Christmas Island, an Australian territory near Indonesia.

All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Pale yellow. Head pale brown, immaculate, slightly narrower than pronotum, broadly rounded apically; vertex about half as long as wide between eyes; frons pale brown; antennae yellow; clypeus about as broad as long, sides parallel, apex truncate. Scutellum with two circular brown spots at the base. Tegmina with two large and two small spots on the clavus, a large semicircular blotch on the corium widening apically, two large spots at the apex of the clavus and two small ones towards apex of costal margin, brown. Dorsal side of abdomen fuscous, ventral side and legs whitish. Total length 2¼ mm (Izzard 1936, as X. minutus). Izzard (1936) also provided an illustration of the male genitalia of this species.
